On July 1, 1995, Fr Nils was ordained. He says, "Twenty-five years ago, I was ordained a deacon by Michael Turnbull at Durham Cathedral to a curacy with Martin Jackson at St Cuthbert, Benfieldside. I give thanks for the many people who helped me on the journey toward ordination, and all those who have traveled these 25 years of ordination with me in the Diocese of Durham, the Diocese of North Carolina and, now, the Diocese of New York.
