Blessing is More Than a Good Feeling
Athletes in post-game interviews say that they are blessed. Celebrities at award shows say that they are blessed. High net worth individuals talk about being blessed. It would be easy to come to the mistaken conclusion from these public comments that God's blessings favor the rich and famous. In this sermon Fr. Garrett puts blessing into its proper context, the assurance of God's close presence and a deep peace of spirit, based on Jesus' words in the Gospel of Matthew (5:1-12). The best news - blessing is not a matter of good fortune, you can pursue it.
