Insight Comes With Time
It is no great revelation that the more we invest ourselves in a project, a relationship, a learning opportunity, the more we gain from it. In this sermon Fr. Garrett unpacks how two of Jesus' disciples only came to realize the identity of a suprising stranger in their midst (Luke 24:13-35) after they had spent sufficient time sharing with and listening to their guest. On the run spirituality is okay, but it's kind of like fast food - as long as you don't expect a lot from it, you won't be disappointed. If we want to really know God and be known by God however, we need to give the relationship time to develop.
