Join us for our second annual dramatized cemetery tour, with local actors telling the stories of twelve of the individuals interred in historic St. Stephen's Cemetery in beautiful downtown Armonk.
Featuring a new set of stories for this year, you can hear about the extraordinary lives of ordinary people, from Civil War veterans right through to the last few years.
Among the stories this year is that of Nehemiah Searles, a pillar of mid-Victorian Armonk. An insurance salesman, he used his community connections and his kindness to help out many destitute local families. We'll also hear the story of David Grove, who died in 2016. A leading figure in 20th century commerce, he was Chief Economist of Bank of America, and then of IBM. He was also a world authority on orchids.
Choose from three performances, starting at 4.00 pm, 4.30 pm and 5.00 pm. Each performance will last around 50 minutes. Tickets include cookies and hot apple cider. Bring all the family for this fun, educational and poignant window into the fascinating lives of our local forebears!
This production is directed by Dakota Martin. Dakota holds a BFA (musical theatre) from Manhattanville College and actively performs throughout Westchester, most recently as Emily in Our Town for the Armonk Players and Urleen in ACT's production of Footloose.
